The Ford Performance 5.2L Gen 3 RH Cylinder Head M-6049-M52B is engineered to enhance the performance and durability of high-output 5.2L engines. This upgraded cylinder head features fully CNC ported intake and exhaust ports, along with a combustion chamber, to support higher horsepower builds. It boasts larger port sizes compared to the 2015-2017 5.0L Coyote cylinder heads, and includes 38.3mm intake and 32.5mm exhaust valves, surpassing the previous 37.3mm intake and 31.8mm exhaust valve sizes. The new valvetrain geometry allows for higher valve lift, and the assembly includes lightweight hollow-stem intake valves and sodium-filled exhaust valves for improved performance. Additionally, it comes with stiffer exhaust valve springs, upgraded valve guides, and an upgraded exhaust valve seat. This loaded head assembly is minus camshafts, rocker arms, and lash adjusters. To use on a 5.0L Coyote engine, a unique camshaft is required due to the new valvetrain geometry, and the installation requires 5.2L rocker arms and lash adjusters. The head changing kit M-6067-M52B is also required. Installation of 5.2L heads on a 5.0L engine requires piston modification for proper piston to valve clearance.
