IMPROVED TOOL DESIGN
Our 6.0L Injector Sleeve Remover / Installer Tools offer several unique design features compared to competitive products. Unlike other products, our tap is separate from the puller portion of the tool. The advantage of this feature is that when the tap becomes damaged or worn over time, it is possible to purchase an inexpensive tap at the local hardware store as opposed to replacing an expensive and not-readily-available special tool. Because the 6.0L injector cups are made of hard steel and tend to be difficult to tap we have found this to be a significant consideration. Our sleeve installation tool also features an o-ring to retain the injector sleeve to the installer. This prevents the frustration of having the injector sleeve continually dropping off the end of the tool while trying to maneuver it into position in the cylinder head.

TIPS
A leaking injector sleeve on a 6.0L can result in compression pressure building in the cooling system and/or coolant making it's way into one or more cylinders (other possible causes are head gasket or EGR cooler failure). Additionally injector sleeve failure may cause coolant to be found around the base of the fuel injector in the cylinder head.

The OEM Ford tool kit requires that the cylinder heads be removed from the vehicle in order to replace the sleeves. Our tool kit makes this repair a relatively simple job and allows the task to be performed with the heads on the vehicle in a fraction of the time saving thousands of dollars.

Our 6.0L injector sleeve tool is unique in the marketplace in that it is also designed to service 6.4L injector cups. By purchasing our tool you are getting double the value for your money, since only one tool is required for two applications.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
It is commonly misconceived that injector cup failure can cause the common 6.0L concern of diesel fuel being found in the engine's coolant. This is VERY unlikely, because in order for it to occur, there would have to be both an injector cup failure AND failure of the lower injector o-ring at the same time. Diesel fuel in the coolant on a 6.0L is almost universally caused by a crack in the injector bore of the cylinder head ABOVE the injector sleeve. jj-motorsports.com offers an innovative and industry leading repair for this problem.
