Chevy Clutch Hydraulic Release Throwout Bearing Kit
Part Number: D10C27C2Description
Easy Hydraulic Clutch Actuation for Your Race Car
Prepping your race car for the weekend race is a lot easier when you have a solid drivetrain putting your engine’s power to the ground. You’ve saved up and you are finally ready to step up your program with a great multi-disc racing clutch, a new bellhousing, and a strong transmission to ensure you make it through the season without issue. It is time to ditch that old mechanical clutch linkage too and all of its associated maintenance and adjustments as well. Keep that forward momentum going by using a solid hydraulic throwout bearing that will not put you on the trailer, ending your race weekend early!
Everything You Need in an Easy to Install Kit
Hydraulic throwout bearing kit provides everything you need to outfit your racing drivetrain with a hydraulic throwout bearing at a great value. The kit features a new and improved throwout bearing a CNC-machined housing, and both 5/16- and 3/8-inch mounting studs with adjuster nuts to fit a wide variety of GM manual transmission applications to correctly set your air gap between the bearing face and clutch. The built-in fail-safe retainer prevents separation of the bearing due to over extension. There is simply no way to over-extend this release bearing with this retainer design. Typically over-extending the release bearing means pulling the transmission and reassembling the separated bearing (not to mention cleaning up all that hydraulic fluid in the bellhousing!) and potentially damaging the internal seals. The kit also includes the hydraulic throwout bearing bolt kit, fittings and the AN line to connect the throwout bearing to the hydraulic clutch master cylinder.
Fits a Wide Variety of Popular GM and Racing Transmissions
This hydraulic throwout bearing kit will fit most Chevrolet, BOP, and GMC manual three- and four-speed transmissions, such as the Muncie family of four-speeds, Borg Warner T10 and Super T10 four-speeds, Saginaw three- and four-speeds, and even the GM-spec Tremec TKO-500 and 600 five-speeds. Essentially any GM transmission with a 1-3/8-inch OD bearing collar. If you are running a Jerico 2-speed or 4-speed transmission, or the Richmond 4-speed or 5-speed transmission in your race car this bearing will work for you as well. Hydraulic release bearing ships setup with AN -4 fluid line adapters and a standard 1/4-28 thread bleeder screw for in bellhousing bleeding.
