OEM starter motors fail prematurely due to moisture intrusion at the output bearing—a design flaw that Rick's Motorsport Electric has engineered out of this Ducati-specific unit. By installing a sealed ball bearing with external shaft sealing, this starter delivers the durability you need for track duty and daily riding without the corrosion that plagues stock units. The sealed bearing design is also user-replaceable, eliminating costly full-unit replacement when bearing wear occurs.
