Description
Schaeffer's 411 MaxKool SS Metalworking Fluid 5-Gallon Pail
Maxkool SS™ is a micro-emulsion, semi-synthetic metalworking fluid designed to machine a wide range of alloys, from aluminum to cast iron. It demonstrates excellent control against biological growth and does not cause staining. Maxkool SS™ is effective for milling, tapping, sawing, reaming, and other machining applications that require moderate nozzle pressures. It is recommended for use in machines with coolant nozzle pressures up to 800 psi.
Maxkool SS™ possesses exceptional cooling properties, extreme pressure resistance, lubricity, and film-forming characteristics. It contains a unique blend of surface-active ingredients, lubricity enhancers, anti-weld agents, and extreme pressure additives. These components allow the fluid to lubricate and wet the metal surfaces of tools and workpieces. Maxkool SS™ penetrates the cutting zone, forming a chemical/metal bond that reduces friction and rapidly cools the part/tool interface through a phenomenon known as inverse solubility.
Our combination of cooling properties and extreme pressure/lubricity characteristics efficiently dissipates heat from the cutting zone, resulting in reduced friction between the cutting tool and the workpiece. This leads to improved dimensional accuracy, higher turning speeds and feeds, prevention of chip welding to the cutting tools, enhanced surface finish, and extended tool life.
Benefits:
Excellent cooling and lubricity
Eliminates smoking and misting
Resistant to rancidity and pH drops, preventing rusting
Superior bioresistance and biostability
Improved workplace visibility
Ability to machine at high speeds and feed rates
Protects against rancidity and unpleasant odor
Extends sump life
Increases productivity and reduces operating costs
Superior rust and corrosion inhibition on ferrous and nonferrous metals.
